Privacy Policy

Every PounceApp is local-first. The apps run entirely on your Mac — no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no PounceApps server that your data passes through.

Last updated: 4 July 2026 · Applies to PounceSQL, PouncePad, RetroCode & MorselHub

What we collect

Nothing. PounceApps operates no server that receives your data. We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, crash telemetry, advertising identifiers, or contact info. There is no sign-in.

Your data & credentials

Your files, databases, connections and settings stay on your Mac. API keys and database credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain. PounceSQL's Azure SQL support uses your local az login session. None of this is sent to PounceApps.

AI features

AI is optional and off until you configure a provider. When you use it, your prompt and the relevant context are sent directly to the AI provider you choose — OpenAI, Anthropic, your organization's gateway, or a fully local model via Ollama — and handled under that provider's privacy policy. With a local model, nothing leaves your machine. PounceApps does not proxy, log, or store these requests.

MorselHub & Messages

MorselHub reads incoming messages (e.g. iMessage) on your Mac only to relay them to the AI provider you configure and route the reply back. Message content is not sent to PounceApps and is not stored off your device. macOS will ask your permission before MorselHub can access Messages.

Built-in MCP servers

PounceSQL, PouncePad and RetroCode expose a local Model Context Protocol server on localhost so agents you run locally (like Claude Code) can drive the app. These are not exposed to the internet by the apps.

Children

These are developer tools and are not directed to children under 13.
